What's up everybodyyyyyyy Sister Gibb here coming from a WILD week! This is a novel sorry lol

Let's begin, shall we?
Times it rained this week: 1 (YAY)
Spiders in Washington and around our apartment: A ZILLION
Times President and Sister Oakes were at our apartment this week: Twice #favoritemissionaries
Lessons taught this week: 31 LETS GO

Mondayyy we went to Gasworks Park in the city and we flew kites, and walked around the park! It was super cool! Then we got lunch with the district and then hung out at the church! That night was pretty slow, but it was nice to just have a break!

Tuesdayyy we visited Jim, and then went to the old folks home! We sat and visited with an old lady named Deanna who just said, "that's very good" to everything we said but we love her. And our old friend Joe asked us about 7 times if we were sisters. Gotta love the Vineyard Park Assisted Living complex. After that, we visited a sister in our ward from Pakistan! She was so sweet! So that was really fun, then we visited another family in our ward and THEN we had dinner with Gloria. BACKSTORY: So we went to the Mountlake City carnival about 2 weeks ago, and we were just doing some finding there. So we found this older lady selling rings and she gave us her number and we called her. She then invited us to dinner with her and her husband and so we were either going to have an absolute miracle story, or get poisoned and killed by this stranger carnival lady. Well don't worry, because I'm obviously still alive, and it was a lovely night! Her husband made the most BOMB ribs and then we ended up teaching her the Restoration! It was really cool! She said she'd actually looked into our church before and seemed interested! It was awesome, the spirit was so strong. We did come follow me with Scott, which is the BEST and our favorite wardie Sister Morris came! It was a blast!

Wednesdayyy WHAT A DAY before we went to district council we went to TACO BELL 🥳🥳🥳🌮🌮🌮 it was glorious, and it was fun to go with the district. Then we did district council which was FIRE it's always so much fun, and I always learn so much! I love it. Then we went to Scott Elkins! He wanted to learn more about how the Book of Mormon and Bible work together because he wasn't quite sold on it, and we walked in, and he was so excited, he was like, "it does add on! It doesn't contradict it at all!" It was so cool to see the spirit working through him to help his testimony grow. We love Scott!!

Then we went to young men's and young women's, and it was combined with the Edmonds ward, and they played pool noodle capture the flag, it was so fun!

Since we were already in Edmonds, WE WENT TO THE BEACH AT SUNSET!! It was so magical, we love the ocean, it's our favorite place 🌊 then we met a referral! Her name is Brooke and she's so cute, she always gives us a bottle of water and a soda when we come. She's the best.

Thursdayyy we woke up and it was dark and gloomy outside because it was RAINING WOOOO you'd think it was Christmas morning I was so excited!! My first rainy day in Washington did not disappoint. We put on our raincoats, and then went and weeded in the rain which was actually really fun haha! We went to the Family History center and I got to make a post for the Facebook page! Go hype it up on the Followers of Christ in North Seattle page 👀 We had a training meeting because believe it or not I'm still a baby in the mish, and then we visited an old member of the ward! His name is Bruce Bell and he's the cutest old man, he's hilarious. Then we were walking back to our car and a hobo named Takmas from the Marshal Islands asked us if we had $6 so that he could buy denture cream, and then proceeded to pull out his dentures to show us, and then asked me for a hug. Don't worry, no hugs were given and we made it back to our car safely. Hopefully he got $6 somewhere #prayersfortakmas after that, we went to Larry's! It was really good! We talked about Church and the Sacrament, and invited him to come! Then we knocked doors for a while and no one answered, and then we went to the Morris's for dinner!! We had the yummiest Chinese food and yummy dumplings, and it was so fun! They're our favorites, we just love them. They have 4 boys, and they're SO CUTE they kept showing us their legs, it was so fun. We did Come Follow Me with the wardies, and then went contacting some more, without much luck. But we saw a BEAUTIFUL sunset so it was okay! It was a long, weird day, but it was actually so awesome.

Fridayyy MISSION DEVOTIONAL! President and Sister Oakes go around every devotional and surprise missionaries by showing up at their apartment and watching the devotional with them. And the day before, Sister Rasband was like, "I feel like they're coming to our place" and lo and behold we got a knock at our door at 8:50am and they were here! It was so fun!! Sister Oakes did comp study with us and then we watched the devotional together! She's the best, she's like our mom, we love her. The Oakes kept bragging about us on the devotional so I guess you could say we're their favorites or something 💁🏼‍♀️ but it was so fun! Then after that, we went to a lesson with William, and taught the Restoration! The spirit was so strong, it was so cool. We LOVE William! Then we went and did service for Michelle!! We hadn't seen her in 2 weeks so it was super fun, she's the cutest. Then we went with a ward member to visit a man in our ward who's wife just passed away and that was good, I felt like I was at my Grandma Gibb's house, it was fun! Then we had a MIRACLE! We had a while before our dinner so we found an old service referral and decided to visit her, and her door was open, and she said that we could come back to weed her yard. We shared a scripture and then gave her a Book of Mormon, and then assigned her a chapter, and then she said she would want to learn more!! It was so cool. After that, we went to dinner with The Williams, she's our RS president, and the two Chris's that live with them haha, it was fun! Then we went to visit a new ward member and she was adorable. It was a fun night! That night the Oakes came back to our apartment because Sister Oakes wanted to get us a rug since some of our carpet was tearing up. They brought us Klondike bars and visited with us and it was adorable. We love the Oakes big time ❤️

Saturdayyy we tried to go Garage Sale finding, with no luck, and then we were going to go to Heather's but then she canceled on us 10 minutes before. So we were super bummed, so we were gonna just get in the car to contact, but then we decided to stop by Billijo's apartment. She'd been ghosting us all week, but we stopped by, and her door was open...and her mom was there...and we got to do service for Billijo for like 2 hours!! We moved a mattress, did her dishes, fixed her dryer door, hung out with her son, and invited her to Church!! It was a HUGE miracle!! God works in mysterious ways. It was so cool! We went to Larry's to ask him why he hasn't been baptized yet, and to make sure he was coming to Church, which he said he couldn't come this week, but we'll get him next week, don't worry. Then we got to go to dinner with the Dains in our ward, and we went to this bomb Indian restaurant!! #thinkingofyoujacob it was so good! We also found this SUPER cute bookstore which was fun! Then we went to Vera's and taught their family about charity! It was an awesome day!

Sundayyy we went to Church, and Billijo and Scott Elkins watched the livestream!! It was so awesome!! We did weekly planning and then had some elders over for fancy Mac and cheese to break our fasts, and they helped us kill some JUMBO Spiders and like 5 egg sacks that were above our door, it was SPOOKY. Later that day, we went to a dinner with two young couples in our ward, which was fun, and then I felt like we needed to visit this lady we'd been trying to contact, so we went over and she was home!! She was going to get baptized a few months ago, but her family wouldn't let her, but her testimony is still so strong! Her husband came home and was kind of rude to us but WHATEVERRRR she said we could come back! Then we visited a lady in our ward and she's hilarious! We love her!
LETS GET SPIRITUAL
This week, Come Follow Me was all about Job! I love the book of job, because he is the ultimate example of faith through the refiners fire. In Job 23:8-10 it says
8 Behold, I go forward, but he is not there; and backward, but I cannot perceive him:
9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
The Lord is always next to us working through our trials! Sometimes we can't see him, but he's always there, waiting for us to come forth as gold, and have our faith strengthened through our trials.
Anywayyyy today is Zone pday so that'll be fun!! Also I got to go to Trader Joe's and Costco this morning, so life is good.
I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
