ITS A GIRL!!! 🤱🏼 #thelineagehasbegun
WHAT IS UPPPP EVERYONE SISTER GIBB HERE
Okay this week was a complete rollercoaster lemme tell you. I'll try to keep this short but WOWIE so much happened.
Mosquito bites on my right ankle: 5
Pianos moved into the woods: 1
Pages of notes taken during conference: 18.5
Times our apartment smelled like weed: too many times #thanksneighbors
On Monday night I got to go on an exchange with the ASL Sisters! We went to their Ward member Cam's house and he said I was a tiger #getonmylevel but it was a pretty good day!
Tuesdayyy the dreaded day of interviews. I went in thinking that President was going to tell me what was happening to me at transfers and he told me NOTHING UGH it was very sad and our motivation to be missionaries went to the center of the earth :(( but ITS OKAY we had dinner with the Bradford's that night, our favorites, and then had Institute! It was a strange day lol but good!
Wednesdayyy we ended up spending the ENTIRE day at the Mission Office filming the music video I'm doing for the Facebook page! It was so fun!! We moved a piano into the woods to film lol but it was super duper fun! I felt like a professional #putthatonmyresume then we had a dinner and then went to YM/YW and they had a movie night with a bunch of Mormon messages and such haha it was so fun!
Thursdayyy we did some Family History, and then we had a CRAZY lesson with Larry! We just were straight with him and were like, "Larry we can't keep coming over if we don't have anything to teach you, because you've literally been taught everything" so we were really trying to get him to understand that he needs to pray and gain a witness of truth and as I was testifying, I don't even remember the words that came out of my mouth, and his chameleon eyes that go different directions focused straight on me, and then all of a sudden I was asking him if he wanted to be baptized. It was WILD and he said YES!! Please pray that Larry will follow through and want to be baptized!! He watched Conference too so that was awesome! Anyways, we did some service the rest of the day, then had a dinner, and then had YSA volleyball!! It was such a good day, but we were soooo tired haha
Fridayyy was the day from Satan wowie. We were stressed all day that we were gonna get a call from President about transfers, and we also taught 7 lessons that day, and had everyone absolutely emotionally DUMP on us. So by the time we were driving to our last appointment at 8pm, we were pretty done with it all haha. Imagine our reactions when we get a call from President Oakes at that very moment. He told us both that we will be training next transfer, and Sister Sanders is leaving Mountlake, and I'm staying! SO WILD we totally thought I'd be leaving but it turns out I'm going to be training in my training area!! I'm going to have a child!! I'm so so so excited and also very nervous, but more excited!! So the day ended on an exciting, stressful, emotionally exhausting note #sorrymom
Saturdayyy was GENERAL CONFERENCE it was SO GOOD UGH if you weren't able to watch it this weekend, I would invite you to TOTALLY go back and listen to the messages! They were so good!! We watched the first session with our District at the church, and then we watched the afternoon session with our YSA ward! Plus they fed us lunch WOO HOO then we watched the evening session with our District and the ZLs District, and then we went and got burgers with our District! It was so fun!! Such a good day, Conference as a missionary is like, SOOOO good you guys.
Sundayyy MORE CONFERENCEEEEEE we got to watch the morning session with the ASL missionaries, because they were doing some deaf-blind interpretation for one of their ward members, so that was really cool!! Then we went to Debi and Judd William's house for the second session and that was a blast, we just love them :)) after conference we went and made some visits because we're #missionaries and then we made dinner for the Elders!! It was very fun, and that night I got to call my brudder Jacob because he's 30 years old nowwwww #happybirthdayoldman
Today for pday we went to the zoo!! It was so much fun!! And I am now the proud owner of a Venus fly trap thanks to Elder Mumford.
OKAY LETS GET SPIRITUAL
Okayyyy Conference was SO GOOD and I have so many things to say but I will spare you all of that haha. My favorite talk I think was Sister Michelle D. Craig's. I love how she just had the whole theme of how trials are a normal part of life, and how God doesn't want us in the comfort zone, because we need to grow and change to become more like him. That's something that I've really been thinking about lately, especially with training a new missionary. The places we grow the most are the places where we are pushed the most. Give your all, because it's all for God.
I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
