Naked old ladies and the screamers of Seattle #sometimesweheargunshotsoutside

Geez Louise what a week!! So much to tell haha soooo many wild things happened so let's get into it!

Times we've been yelled at/hard-core rejected: Probably like 6
Ministering done to old ladies: lots #somanygrandmas
Miles walked: SO MANY YAY
Times I've gotten lost driving: ZERO BECAUSE SEATTLE HAS A GRID SYSTEM BABY WOOOO

Mondayyy we went to Pike and hung out at the church, honestly it was a stressful day haha, but it's okay. We tried to do some visits that night and we knocked on an inactive members door and got yelled at pretty good lol, my first Seattle screamer. Super lit

Tuesdayyy we got to go to the church and do some sewing service projects with the Ward ladies! They do it every Tuesday and it's so fun! Then we visited with Judy! We're gonna go every week and do CFM with her, which is awesome! She's so sweet, we just love her to bits. After that, we walked around Greenlake park which is a 3 mile trail around the lake, and handed out passalong cards! It was actually super fun! Then that night we made more member visits and met our RS president, Sister Durham! They're the coolest family!

Wednesdayyy we had our first District Council with our new District!! Since I was transferred within the Zone, I got to keep Elder Claridge as my District Leader which is nice! We did some finding at Gasworks park and organized our area book big time. It was kind of a mega boring day, but it's okay! That night we visited with some of our members, the Basts and the Sullivan's! They're these cute young couples who are getting their PhDs in like Computer Science at the University of Washington! We have some super smart people in our Ward, it's awesome.

Thursdayyy we decided to visit some referrals who never texted the missionaries back, and we actually had a huge miracle! There was this girl named Maddy and we knocked on her door and she told us she had COVID and wasn't interested, but while we were walking back to our car, she opened the door and was like, "Actually wait, what would you guys be teaching me?" And so we stood below her porch so to not get COVID lol and ended up giving her a BOM and teaching her the Restoration!! It was so awesome! That afternoon, I had a doctors appointment that took like all day lol but I'm fine no stress. That night we had a lesson with our friend Isaac! He's a 17 year old and he's sooo cool! His dad came to the lesson too and it was awesome! I'm so excited to help teach them. Then we made some member visits that night which is always a blast and a half lol.

Fridayyy we did some service for our cute friend Donna! She's moving, but her husband had a bunch of clothes that she's been trying to get rid of so she let us have some old man clothes! #dreams She's a devout Catholic woman but she loves coming to church haha she's so cute. Then we got to visit with a new friend! Her name is Poki and she's from Thailand! And we're going back this week and SHES GONNA MAKE US THAI FOOOOOOD I'm stoked. We had to help Judy with a grocery delivery emergency, but we got some free groceries so that was lit. Then we made visits for literally a zillion years and no one was home, so we decided to film a Facebook video which was so fun actually #gohypeitup

Saturdayyy we got up and had a Church tour with Blake and the YSA Elders! He's the guy we found in the elevator last week who wants to come to church! It went super well and he actually ended up going to church at the YSA ward!! After that we went to a lesson with Douglas, hopefully we can get him progressing soon. We got a call from a Ward member saying she needed our help cleaning her house, so we went over and she was literally halfway dressed, but she was super sweet and we helped her clean for a while, which was exciting lol. After that we got some dinner, and I had my first Washington Teriyaki! There's Asian food everywhere here, and Teriyaki is on every corner. I'm happy to report it was delicious. That night we visited with the Londons, the cutest old couple in our Ward! And then we edited our bomb diggity Facebook video.

Sundayyy we went to Church!! And there were wayyy more people there than last week thank goodness so we got to meet more members of our Ward! We have the cutest Ward haha. The afternoon was full of doing our studies, weekly planning, and we visited some older ladies in the Ward! That night we had dinner with a cute young couple from the Ward, and then made some member visits! It was a good day!

Today we had a Sister's pday and went to the Museum of Pop Culture! They had some cool movie props and stuff, it was awesome!

OKAY LETS GET SPIRITUAL
This week I got to 3 Nephi 11-20 in my BOM reading when Christ comes and visits the people in the America's! THIS IS THE CLIMAX PEOPLE but something I loved is that even when it's inconvenient at the time, Christ always chooses compassion. When he's about to leave, he sees that the people aren't ready to leave and it says that he has compassion on them and blesses them. I want to be more like that. Not worrying so much about where I've got to be or who I've got to see or what I'm going to say next, just to have compassion. To serve, to love, to help. So let's all practice Christlike compassion this week, yeah?

I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
