Apparently I'm marrying a man on an Island and I like tomatoes now??? #ILOVEGENERALCONFERENCE

HELLO OH MY GOODNESS I seriously can't remember like anything from this week so let's see how this goes

Marriage proposals I recieved: 1 from one of our progressing friends :'(
Tandem bikes rode by missionaries: 1 very nice free one
Tiny glass houses sorted: Probably 26
Hours driven on Friday: like 4
Times I cried during Conference: A lot haha #1fan

Mondayyy we had FHE and played badminton! In the church gym! With like 12 people! Needless to say, it was chaotic but it was fun haha

Tuesdayyy we had a wild day!! We started off by baking some cookies, and then drove down to Oak Harbor to do a Social Media split! It was good, and Smithy got me a Baja blast 🙏 after that we drove back and went to Barbara's house! We hadn't been over there in forever, so it was good to go over! We tried teaching her The Plan of Salvation, but we don't know how much of it stuck...pray for Barbara!! Then we drove around and delivered the cookies we had baked!! It was fun, and we got in contact with a lot of people!! That night we went to dinner at The Bethke's! They're returning members, and they're SO awesome it was so fun!

Wednesdayyy we had District Council!! It was good, I love District Council :) then we drove out to La Conner! We were supposed to have a service, but it canceled, so we went to Annette's instead! She's doing sooo much better than she was, which is a huge blessing! And then we went to Nancy Addison's! She was taught by missionaries about a year ago but has just been so busy, we haven't been able to meet with her! So, we helped her in her garden, and then read some scriptures with her! She has a lot going on in her life, and loved what we shared, so we're excited to start teaching her! Plus, I got to use a sickle to chop down some reeds, I felt like a ninja 🥷 that night, we had dinner with Richard and Mona! Mona is a member, Richard is not, but they are the most WONDERFUL people!! Mona has 2 Master's degrees, Richard leads a Philosophy group and he's an artist. Basically, I was having the time of my life chatting with them! Also, that night I received a message from our friend Adam who came to Church on Friday Harbor saying he'd prayed all week and decided that I'm his future wife. Sooooo the Elders will probably be teaching him, but it was funny hehe but also sad. ITS JUST THE LIGHT OF CHRIST ADAM.

Thursdayyy we had a Training meeting over Zoom which was good, and then we got to go to Debi's!! We helped her set up little vignettes of her tiny glass houses and that was fun haha, and then we talked about Conference with her! And she then proceeded to tell us that she had her parents sealed to each other???? And she wants her grandparents sealed to each other???? We were like WHAT so things are moving forward with Debi!! After that, we made some good visits to people! We went to the David's house which was fun, they're so cute! And then that night we went to the Oczkewicz for dinner! They have soooo many crazy kids it's a fever dream every time haha but I love them so much!! It was so fun! And then we popped in at the Relief Society activity later that night which was super fun!

Fridayyy we took a ROADTRIPPPP we drove down to Mill Creek for the New Missionary Training! It was so fun to be back at the office and to see everyone! We had a great meeting and learned lots of things!! It takes us an hour and a half to get there without traffic, so with the 3 o'clock Everett traffic, we were in the car for roughly 4 hours that day. But it was fun! I love driving hehe then we went to the library, and I taught Sister Pettit how to do Facebook work! She's not too convinced that it actually works nor that it's worth her time, but we'll get there ;) then we did some planning and that night we had dinner with the Flores's, which is ALWAYS a highlight. I simply adore them :))

Saturdayyy GENERAL CONFERENCE YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY ohhhh my goodness this Conference was AMAZING!! We got to watch the morning and afternoon sessions at Bishop Arrington's house which was so fun! I love the Arringtons! Between sessions, we went finding at the Farmers Market which was so fun! We're friends with a bunch of people who have booths there so it's a blast :) and after the afternoon session we went and visited with Ann! We had some time before our dinner, so we decided to knock on Kathy's door! We hadn't seen her in AGES but she was home!!! And she let us in!! It was awesome, and we're gonna get her coming to Church! Please pray for Kathy! That night we had dinner with the Parsons, which was so fun, and then Elder Church, one of our old AP's, was here to visit!! It was a great day :))

Sundayyy GENERAL CONFERENCE AGAIN YAYAYAYAYAY we watched the morning session with Sister Chomiak in her cabin in the middle of the woods haha! Our friend Laura was supposed to come, but she was on the Islands crabbing :( so that was a bummer. But we had a great time watching with Sister Chomiak and she made lunch for us after :)) then we raced over to the Cardon's for the afternoon session which was so fun, and Annette was there too! The Sunday talks were just AMAZING oh my goodness AND WASHINGTON IS GETTING ANOTHER TEMPLE WOO HOOOOOO 🙌 God is so good!! Then their grandkids came for dinner, and I felt like I was at Sunday dinner at my Grandma Jackson's! It was so fun :))) then we went over to Marianne's to chat with her which was good! And she gave us apples and tomatoes because I like tomatoes now I guess #grownuptastebuds and then that night we had Mission Devotional which was good!

Today we're playing Frisbee golf! It's been a great pday!

OKAY LETS GET SPIRITUAL
One of my favorite talks from this Conference was OF COURSE from our new Young Womens General President, Emily Belle Freeman! She spoke about how our covenants show our commitment to our relationship with Christ! I don't remember exactly what she said, but it was something along the lines of, "Your level of commitment to your covenants determines the depth of your relationship with Christ". And I LOVED that! Because I think I get wrapped up in the way I keep my covenants rather than WHY I keep my covenants. I strive to keep my covenants because they give me power from Heaven. They bring me joy! They inspire me to be more like the Savior! Jesus is my "why". Focus on your "why" this week and try to focus it on Him!!

I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
