A free haircut is a free haircut I guess. #ILOVEORCASISLAND

HELLOOOOO I'm alive!

We had our pday on Thursday this week because we got to go to the Temple!! So I'll just give you the lowdown on last week so it's not too wild

Strawberry ice cream eaten: a lot but it was so worth it
Beautiful ferry rides taken: 2
Tears shed at Zone Conference: I don't wanna talk about it
Pairs of socks I wear every day now: 2 because its SO COLD

Mondayyy we played pickleball!! I hadn't played in so long, it was so fun!! And then that night we didn't have FHE because Halloween, but we went to Kathy and Willy Webster's for dinner! Willy Webster is one of my favorite humans on this planet he's so funny haha, he used to be a bank robber and then he found the gospel, he's awesome.

Tuesdayyy HAPPY HALLOWEEN WOOO we spent the day out on Orcas Island!! I had never been to Orcas, and it did NOT disappoint!! If you want to step into a real life Wes Anderson film, go to Orcas Island. Nothing looks real haha! It was SOOOO beautiful though!

We visited with a bunch of members out there and had lunch with the Taylor's, who are just the funniest people, and they know a bunch of people from American Fork! Super fun :)) When we left, Sister Taylor gave us bread and eggs and mom hugs.

We contacted some other people, and then visited with Adele Pinneo! She's the CUTEST old lady who told us sooo many stories and it was just so fun! Then we visited with the Badals, who are an awesome couple! Sister Badal is blind, but she's so funny ahaha! Then we caught our ferry back and had dinner with Sister Hogge! I LOVE Sister Hogge it was so fun! Then we had to be in early that night for Halloween, but we made some spaghetti squash for some spooky vibes.

Wednesdayyy we had a lesson with Renee! I love her, she was really able to connect with the Book of Mormon which was what we've been helping her with, huge tender mercy!! Then we went to this cool vintage shop and met the owner, and she was awesome. After that, we went to the David's! It's always good to visit with them! Then we got to go to Debi's for a tiny project, and then we got a car washhhhh which was SO nice! That night we went to young men's and young women's and we played real-life clue! It was so funny haha our team didn't do very well but it was awesome.

Thursdayyy we had ZONE CONFERENCEEEEEE it was my last one, which was a weird feeling. We talked about "soft missionary skills", like testifying, teaching by the spirit, asking inspired questions, etc. It was an awesome day full of lots of practicing, my last musical number in the WEM, crying to the new Youth Theme song, and getting an A for having the cleanest apartment. Oh, and sandwiches of course. It was a great one to end on, and I'm just so incredibly grateful for President and Sister Oakes and all the missionaries I've been able to serve with.

After that, we had a Social Media meeting, and then we drove out to La Conner! We visited with Annette, which was good as always, and contacted some folks! That night, we had dinner with the Cardons who are just the loveliest people, it was so fun. I always feel like I'm at my Grandma's house whenever I'm there. And then we went to volleyball with the wardies! It was a good time :))

Fridayyy we had some training meetings in the morning, which were good, and then we got ice cream with Sister Smith and Sister Bayless on our lunch hour! And let it be known: Lopez Island Creamery makes the best strawberry ice cream I've ever tasted in my entire life. 10/10. Then we went to Debi's and worked on the big project she had waiting for us! We're helping her deep clean her kitchen haha and then we had an awesome lesson with her!! Pray for Debi that she will continue to feel the spirit in her life! That night, we had dinner with the Elizondo's. They're one of my favorite families in the Ward! Their kids are soooo funny haha Sister Elizondo is an icon. Then that night we did some weekly planning!!

Saturdayyy we visited with Ann in the morning, which was good! And then we went to Sister Swain's house and made pizzas for lunch!! I LOVE Sister Swain, she's the one that teaches yoga every Thursday and she's just so fun :) then we contacted some people, and then got some free haircuts! Raelyn's step mom is in hair school, so she and her classmates were doing free haircuts at the church to get hours, and I got exactly what you would expect out of a free haircut! I'll be wearing my hair up in all the pictures I send for the next bit until I can go get another haircut haha but it was so funny! After that, we went to Pam Pennington's house! She had surgery, so we visited with her and read a conference talk with her! It was fun :) it was a wild day, but a good one nonetheless!

Sundayyy I had my FINAL Fast Sunday as a missionary WHAAAAT it was so weird haha! But so good! I bore my testimony at Church one last time, which was just great. And what was even more great was that we had Break the Fast after Church with the YSA Ward hehehe it was super fun! That afternoon we visited with Sarah Price from the Ward, a returning member! She's so wonderful, I love her. After that, we had dinner with the Leaders!! I LOVE THE LEADERS they're my favorite. Bob Leader and I are besties. That night, we got to go over to meet our newest friend, Adelina!! The Elders found her knocking and thought we would be a better fit for her, and she is just SO AMAZING!! She's a 25 year old single mom of 3 girls, and her dad is a recent convert who lives in Texas! We were able to teach her the Restoration and give her a Book of Mormon! The spirit was soooo strong, she is so ready for the gospel! It was so exciting!! We're so stoked to teach her, she's incredible. That night we had Devotional, which was great!

OKAY LETS GET SPIRITUAL
This week I was reminded of one of my favorite lines from this past General Conference! It's from President Eyring's talk, "Our Constant Companion". He said,
"If you have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost today, you may take it as a sweet evidence that the Atonement is working in your life."
When we are standing in holy places, and environments where the spirit can be with us, we are exercising faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We have a desire to follow Christ and become more like him. Trust in those moments when you feel the spirit, and trust that the Savior is leading you exactly where you need to be.

And everyone wish Julie a Happy Birthday on Sunday!!

I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
