Flat tires changed: 1 🫡
Fuji apples eaten: Sooo many, theyre the best kind of apple you can't change my mind
Mondayyy was NOT pday WHAAAAT but it was still a great day! The bulk of it was spent doing a Social Media split with Smithy! And OF COURSE we got Taco Bell for lunch 😎 It was good to get lots done with the page! Then we finished some planning, and then we visited with Patty Baines, one of our less active members! She's so cute haha but her dog is CRAZY haha it would not stop barking. That night, we went to FHE and played chair soccer! It was fun :))
Tuesdayyy was a CRAZY day haha we had District Council, which was great as always, and then we did some store finding while getting groceries since our pday was moved. We had a lesson with Thea! It was good, she's been super busy lately, so it's been tough to get in touch with her, but she's doing good :) then we went to Barbara Bears! We did some service for her, and then we got to talk about the Book of Mormon with her! She had some reservations about it that we helped clear up so that was good! We drove out to La Conner and had dinner with the Oczkewicz which was so funnnn they're the funniest kids. Then that night we went back to Adelina's and had an AMAZING lesson! We taught her the first half of the Plan of Salvation which was super spiritual! We were able to teach her all about Jesus Christ and his Atonement, and she really connected with it :)) I love Adelina so much, please pray for her!!
Wednesdayyy we were out in La Conner for the day! We went to visit some people with no luck, but then we got to go to Annette's! She's doing good, and we ate fruit together, it was lit. Then we went to Marianne's and helped her out a little bit with some stuff! I love Marianne, pray that she comes back to church soon! That night, we had dinner with the Wyatts and all their kids which was super fun!! And after that, we went to Young Womens! We had a choreographed dance competition and ours was pretty sweet if I do say so myself. It was lit.
Thursdayyy we finally had our TEMPLE DAYYYYYY WOOOO it was so fun!!! I love the temple sooooo much!! We got to drive down with Sister Smith and Sister Bayless which was great, and we had a great session at the temple! I love the house of the Lord so much :)) and on the drive back, we went to CHICKFILAAAAAA WOOOOOO it was glorious, my sandwich was 10/10. That night we got to have dinner with the Townsends which was great, and we talked all about Preach my Gospel with them because they used to be Mission Leaders, and it was the best. Then we went to volleyball that night which was great, as always!
Fridayyy we had some training meetings, and then we went to the Holiday Market for some finding!! We talked to a lady named Reggie who weaves baskets and a lady named Bonnie who only has one leg and makes doll clothes. She said she and her family were investigating the Church a few years ago and it was a total miracle!! So so cool!! Then we went to Debi's and helped her in her kitchen which was great, and her dogs were going CRAZY haha but it was fun! I love Debi :))) that night we went to Adelina's again and read 3 Nephi 11 with her. We got talking about baptism, and she told us that she hadn't been baptized and so we invited her to pray if Heavenly Father wants her to work towards being baptized!! Please pray for her that she will receive an answer!! It was a great day in the end, super strong spirit throughout the whole day :))
Saturdayyy we went out to FRIDAY HARBORRRRR we took the ferry out and then walked around town! Then we drove out to visit the Newells which was great, they're so sweet and they made us fajitas!! #blessed then we spent the rest of the day just visiting people and saw some awesome miracles! We met some less active members, named Shane and Kevin who we read some scriptures with, and they told us they want to come back to Church!! It was amazinggggg! That night we visited with Chris Riter, who is a less active member that we see when we go out there, and we met her son, which was good! Then later that night, we ate the fajitas I mentioned before, and they were GLORIOUS.
Sundayyy we got up, got all ready to drive to Church, and then we found our tire was totally flat! Soooo we got a ride to Church instead haha! And Church with the Branch is always so fun!! I love the members on the Island :) I had the opportunity to bear my testimony to them as well since I'm coming up on the end of my mission, which was so special. After Church, the Newell's helped us change our tire, which was a BLESSING! Then we made some visits to some members! We visited Sister Hannah, who is in her 90's and is sooo funny haha I love her!! And then we went, and I said goodbye to Lindsey, who is someone we've been teaching out there, which was good, I'm gonna miss her!! That night, we had dinner with the Geisers! They're the cutest family and we had so much fun with them!! After dinner, we ran back to catch our ferry, only to find out it had been canceled and the next ferry wouldn't be there until 2 hours later :/ sooo I got to call Julie for her birthday!! We FINALLY got on the ferry and got back to Anacortes at 10pm and we were SO TIRED haha!! This was probably my last time on the Island, so it was a bittersweet trip. I'm going to miss Friday Harbor :(( but I'll be back someday!!
Today I woke up SOOO sick so I slept most of the day lol, but then we played volleyball! Pray I can fight off my sickness so that I can keep going strong these last 2 weeks!
OKAY LETS GET SPIRITUAL
Super fast thought today since I'm out of time, but I was reminded of these scriptures in Isaiah 54!
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires.
There is no distance you can go that is too far for the Savior to reach you. He knows you, keep moving forward trusting in His divine plan for you. There are trails laid with sapphires ahead :))
I love you all a WashingTON ❣️
